Quick! Comment ASAP!
Locals, I need insight into the Knoxville (especially campus-centered) fun entertainment events scene. Are there any shows, concerts, performances--anything outside of generic movie outings--worth going to between now and Thursday night?

DUDE. look who yer askin. actually, this coming friday at bluecats, and 80's cover band, "The Breakfast Club" will be performing....admission is 8 bucks at the door, but show your student ID and you get 2 bucks off.

um. let's see. Eddington, my sideproject (in which I play drums), is playing our first show on October 24th at Old City Java, in the old city. Admission will be around 5 bucks probably. I couldn't pin a style on our sound if you asked me...so just think rock and roll (thrice, jimmy eat world, etc).

and if you're real bored, start gettin' into some tunes man...that passes the time wonderfully, making mix CDs and whatnot. you lemme know and i'll start droppin' names.

I'm looking for something good for a casual date sort of environment this week, before Friday.

"The Princess Bride" is going to be shown on market square Friday night at dusk. Outdoor movie = totally fun/romantic.

Thursday though, is the real treat. Keane is playing! Autumn on the Square. I love Keane.

I'm really out of touch with the local music scene, but an outdoor movie sounds like fun.

Keane isn't local. That's why it's so exciting! They're a new British pop band. If you like coldplay, you'll like Keane. I'm gonna cry.
